This guide mirrors the onboarding flow shown in the dashboard screenshots below. Keep the Concepts page open for quick reference on terminology and core concepts.

0. Log in to Nonce

  1. Sign in to your account at nonce.app.

1. Create a Workspace

A workspace contains all farms, miners, and Agents associated with your organization.
  1. Click Create Workspace on the landing page, enter a name, and optionally tag the operating region.
  2. After saving, Nonce redirects to an empty workspace overview with a short onboarding checklist.

2. Create a Farm via the Wizard

A farm is a logical grouping of miners that share power, network, or geographic location. Click Setup Farm in the Farms tab to open the wizard.

2.1 Enter Farm Basic Information

  • Give the farm a clear name and select a region matching its physical location.
  • (Optional) Add tags, electricity cost, or maintenance fees to reflect actual operating costs in reports.
  • Click Save to proceed to the next step.
Electricity and maintenance costs help Nonce estimate operating expenses and mining profitability.

2.2 Select Miner Model and Quantity

  • Use the dropdown to select the miner model and enter the quantity.
  • Enter the Efficiency value, typically representing power consumption per TH (e.g., Antminer S19 Pro is commonly 34 J/TH).
Entering Quantity helps Nonce estimate total power consumption and hashrate for the farm.

2.3 Add Pool Observer Data (Optional)

If you provide a pool observer URL, Nonce can cross-reference financial analysis and hashrate uptime against pool-side data.
  • Paste the observer URL directly into the input field.
  • Add at least one primary pool record to ensure all miners report to the expected pool account.
Observer URLs are typically found in your pool’s dashboard or documentation.

2.4 Install Nonce Agent

  1. Click Setup in the Agent tab. If no Agent exists, register a new one.
  2. Run the generated installation command on a server or PC that can access the miners.
  3. After the command completes successfully, return to the wizard and click confirm.
  4. Wait a few minutes for the Agent to report its version, uptime, and connection status.
Currently, Agent only supports Linux-based installations (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS).

2.5 Scan Network to Discover Miners

  • Use the Add action to enter the IP range where miners are located.
  • After saving, click Scan to trigger a discovery Task.
IP ranges saved under Auto Scan will be scanned on schedule, automatically discovering new hardware.
Ensure the host running Agent can access all miners over the network, otherwise the discovery Task will fail.
If miners use custom passwords, read the FAQ and configure Agent before starting the scan.

3. View Farm Overview

After completing the wizard, Nonce begins polling the Agent and backfilling real-time metrics.
  • Track hashrate, Efficiency, miner status, and estimated profit in a single view.
  • Expand the miner table to immediately address offline devices.
Agent takes 5-20 minutes to complete the first telemetry collection round; dashboard data will populate gradually.

4. Next Steps

  • Invite team members in workspace settings so shift supervisors can respond to alerts promptly.
  • Create more farms using the same wizard to cover all your operating sites.
  • Check the FAQ for common questions.
