When you onboard a new member, do not start by giving the biggest role or the entire farm list. This four-step sequence is the safest approach.
Step 1: Decide what they need to do
- Manage the team, settings, API Keys, and farm lifecycle: give Admin
- Manage assigned farm configuration and high-risk miner actions without managing the team: give Manager
- Run routine miner operations and tasks without managing farm configuration: give Member
- Only monitor data and results: give Viewer
Step 2: Send the invitation
- Open the Members or Organization page.
- Go to Invitations.
- Enter the user’s email or account identifier.
- Select the right role and send the invitation.
Step 3: Assign farm scope
- Find the user in the member list.
- Open the role or scope configuration.
- Assign only the farms they need right now.
- Do not grant all farms unless there is a clear reason.
Step 4: Ask them to verify access
- After the invitation is accepted, ask them to refresh the page or sign in again.
- Confirm that the expected pages are visible.
- Confirm that allowed actions are enabled and restricted actions are absent.
If you are unsure how much scope to grant, start smaller. It is safer to expand access later than to over-grant it now.
