# Versions and stability

## Current API

Public API v2 is the current version. Start new integrations from the [API overview](/api-guide/v2), or follow the [upgrade guide](/api-guide/v2/migration) for an existing v1 integration.

## API stability

Stable identifies stable APIs. APIs marked Beta may introduce incompatible request or response changes. Check the relevant API Reference when integrating or upgrading.

## Private API v1

Private API v1 is a legacy API and will be retired in the future.
